Colors Of Impala
SALES ON HOLD
Will be back
Warning! Works only on Ableton Live 11.1.1 (and above) SUITE
The standard version of Live won't work because it doesn't feature the synths and effects I use mainly Amp, Cabinet, Pedal, Analog, and Electric. Older versions won't work because Ableton Live isn't cross-compatible with older versions.
Important notes:
- Use a limiter on your master or after a rack because these sounds clip a lot.
- Use lower velocity settings to get smoother sounds. Many of the synth patches won't sound as good on higher velocity. Velocity values of 40-50 work best with the synth patches. You can lower velocity settings by pressing the C key on your keyboard or set higher settings with the V key.
- The amount of gain you feed into the guitar racks plays a huge role. If you experience problems add a utility before the guitar rack and boost or lower the gain. The volume pot on your guitar won't work as intended because we are working with pure digital conversion.
I've been a Tame Impala fan since forever. The sounds that Kevin creates always captivated me because they seem so different and they keep me wondering how I never thought of that.
I have this urge to recreate sounds of music producers I really admire and once I do that I kinda stop analyzing the music while I listen to it and can fully appreciate music as a listener and not a music producer.
So the time has come for me to recreate the sounds of Tame Impala and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.
I hope you enjoy this pack and I hope you create something awesome with it.
Contents:
13 Guitar sounds, 39 Synth sounds, 1 Vocal effect, 4 Master effects
All sounds have macro controls on them so you can create new sounds as well.
The guitar sounds range from clean guitar sounds to heavily distorted almost trashed guitar sounds as well as harmonized guitar sounds that sound like synths.
To get the octaver guitar sounds you will need a free plugin. I wanted to make this pack with just Ableton Live plugins, but I couldn't get a good octaver sound with Ableton Lives shifter plugin. Graillon 2 is a free autotune and pitch shifter plugin which works great as an octaver emulator and I use it all the time on my guitar.
You can download Graillon 2 by visiting this link:

It's easy to install and you don't need to adjust anything when you open up my presets because they will be set up automatically.
Synth sounds contain 6 bass patches, 1 brass patch, 4 fx patches, 7 Keys patches, 6 Lead patches, 9 Pad patches, 4 Pluck patches, and 2 Strings patches.
The synth patches include an electric bass guitar patch I made for Tension and an electric piano patch I made for Electric.
Tame Impala is famous for adding weird psychedelic effects on their master channel so I made a few of those as well.
MASTER FX - Kaskam
This rack emulates the sound of a cassette recorder, but it can create a range of different Lo-Fi sounds.
MASTER FX - Same Old Me
This rack makes everything sound like it's playing in a hall and you are listening to it from a different room or from a distance.
MASTER FX - That Effect
This rack emulates that famous Tame Impala phase/flanger effect. If you don't know of what effect I'm talking it's that effect you can hear on Mind Mischief at 2:46.
MASTER FX - You'll Like This
This was initially a mistake that happened to me while I was experimenting with some sounds. It shifts sounds left and right I don't really know why and how I made this I just know I liked it and I'm sure you will too. It reminds me of the Lonerism sound.
This wouldn't be a real Tame Impala pack if I didn't create a vocal effect rack that emulates those psychedelic effects Kevin uses on his vocals.
MASTER FX - Angel Voices
This rack can create both subtle and heavy psychedelic effects. I created sidechains for the Reverb and Delay sounds so the effects don't muddy up your dry vocals.
57 Ableton Live racks that sound like Tame Impala made using native Ableton Live plugins.
